Meet Your Guides:

Amanda Hinkhouse

Amanda is a passionate yoga teacher, pranayama facilitator, and photographer who believes in the power of intentional, purposeful living. Through this day retreat, Amanda hopes to offer others a chance to step away from the noise of daily life, reconnect with themselves, and experience the joy and clarity these practices have brought to her own journey.

Hannah Cross

Hannah is a psychotherapist in private practice and psychedelic researcher. She believes that tools that facilitate an embodied experience of one’s innate ability to heal themselves are the most impactful at bringing about healing and lasting change, which is why she has been offering this free movement method, coined Otherworld Movement Method, in yoga studios, retreat settings, and treatment settings for several years.

Paula Salazar

Paula is a floral creative, yoga teacher and grounding advocate rooted in practices that nurture connection- to self, pacha mama, and the community. With a passion for intuitive practices and floral artistry, she weaves nature-inspired rituals, movement and mindfulness into experiences that help others feel grounded, inspired, and in bloom.

Agenda:

12:00pm Opening Experience: Pranayama and Yoga

Guided by Amanda

  • Begin your retreat by connecting to your mind, breath, and body. Experienced yoga teacher Amanda will lead you through a vinyasa flow designed to support and balance your energy centers using pranayama (breath control) and asana (postures). With your consent, Amanda will offer gentle, hands-on assists to help you feel grounded, safe, and supported. This session will lay the foundation for a day of creative exploration and release.

1:30pm Botanical Smudge Session + True-Self Portrait + Snacks

Led by Paula

  • In this hands-on workshop, you’ll craft your own smudge stick using fresh flowers, herbs, and natural aromatic materials. As you intuitively choose and bundle your botanicals, you’ll be invited to set a personal intention—infusing your creation with meaning and love. Once dried, your smudge stick can be used in ritual, meditation, or simply as a fragrant reminder of your time at the retreat. All materials are provided.

Offered by Amanda

  • During the Botanical Smudge Session, Amanda will pull individuals aside for a couple professional portraits, capturing the energy of your true self! Snacks will be available for self-serve while you relax, create, and enjoy the space.

3:00pm Otherworld Movement Method

Guided by Hannah

  • Otherworld Movement is a group movement method designed to bring the unconscious into consciousness through the practice of blindfolded free movement. Rooted in altered states of consciousness, sensory deprivation, and creative facilitation, this practice allows participants to access deep emotional processing, expanded self-awareness, and a connection to something greater—whether that be one’s inner wisdom, creativity, or a sense of awe and wonder.

By removing sight and letting the body move freely, participants enter a state where they can both surrender to spontaneous movement and make conscious choices. Likewise, while moving in the presence of others, the blindfold allows for a deep, internal journey that feels both individual and collective. These paradoxes create a powerful gateway for emotional breakthroughs and a profound reconnection with the body.

We will start with a preparation conversation and intention setting, move into the free movement- facilitated at first with guidance that will drop off as the trance state deepens, then ground back into community with an integration circle. Blindfolds will be provided.

4:45pm Nourishing Dinner

  • Enjoy a thoughtfully prepared meal catered by The Lotus Cafe, made with fresh, nourishing ingredients. Our dinner is crafted to replenish and nourish you after a full day of movement, creativity, and connection.

6:30pm Paddle at Pineview Reservoir (Optional)

  • We’ll close the day with a relaxing paddleboard session at Pineview Reservoir, just a short distance from the retreat space. It’s a peaceful way to wind down, connect with the water, and take in the beauty of the day. Note: Paddleboards are not provided. Rentals are available just across the street through Detours Utah.
