I wanted to create a class that centers around the meditative heart of yoga. One of the primary purposes of asana is to prepare the body to sit upright with ease and stability—so the mind can settle and meditation becomes accessible.
This experience begins with an Ashtanga-inspired warm-up designed to prepare the body and awaken the breath energy pathways. Expect sun salutations, standing postures, bandhas, and ujjayi breath. From there, we transition into a seated practice of pranayama and mantra.
We’ll spend approximately 20 minutes cultivating breath awareness through pranayama, followed by mantra practice to call in light, peace, and clarity. Practicing at 6am offers a particularly potent container for this kind of sadhana: when the collective consciousness is quiet and the mind is naturally more steady and receptive.
This class is an invitation to explore the deeper layers of yoga beyond the postures.
Space is limited to 10 people.
