A Meditative Vinyasa Experience
This 90-minute class is designed for experienced students looking to deepen their concentration and cultivate presence. While it does include advanced postures, the heart of this class is about developing a one-pointed mind known as Ekāgratā. A one-pointed mind is associated with Dharana, the sixth limb of Patanjali's 8-limbed path, which is the practice of focused concentration—training the mind to rest steadily on one object (like breath, mantra, or sensation).
We will open class through pranayama and mantra (chanting), preparing the mind for meditation in movement. Then it will lead into a vinyasa style sequence that includes fewer cues, longer holds, mindful transitions, and opportunities for inversions.
The postures are an invitation to anchor attention inward. The quieter I can be as your guide, the more space you have to listen within. Hands-on assists will be offered with consent.
*Experience recommended: One year of a consistent yoga practice*
Space is limited to 10 people.
